IP camera module IPG-53H20PY-S (Hi3516Cv200 + IMX323)

Module for a two-megapixel IP camera. It succeeded the Sony IMX322-based module. It carries a 1/2.9'' Sony IMX323 sensor and a HiSilicon Hi3516Cv200 Professional HD IP DSP SoC (1920x1080 at 25 fps, realtime), which succeeded the Hi3516C SoC and differs from it by an enhancement of the h264 protocol in the form of the h264+ extension (it gives substantial bitrate savings on a static picture; the predecessor of the h265 protocol).

Note: this module has been discontinued. The most suitable replacement is IVG-HP201Y-AE, with the same 2MP IMX323 sensor and a new, more powerful Hi3516Cv300 SoC with video analytics and h265 support.

Used in mass-market-series outdoor and indoor cameras; performs well when shooting daytime video.

This model already has audio support and an alarm input and output, and a USB port is wired out to the connector. Although the firmware lacks support for USB devices, a mod exists for this module, and the OpenIPC project runs on this platform.
