2MP IP camera module. Sensor: 1/2.9'' Sony IMX323 CMOS image sensor; SoC: HiSilicon Hi3516Cv300, a third-generation Professional HD IP Camera SoC with support for h265 and video analytics; resolution 1920x1080 at 25 frames per second.
Note: this module replaced the 53H20PL-AE; there is also a cheaper alternative, the two-board IVG-HP200S-AE with the 2MP SC2235 sensor, or the single-board IPG-80H20PT-S with the F22 sensor. Both are built on the same Hi3516Cv300 SoC.
The module has a twin, the IPG-83HE20PY-S, with the same SoC and sensor but in a single-board design and without expansion board support.
Video analytics support means the camera reacts to specific events: an observed object crossing a virtual line (corridor mode), or an object entering or leaving a defined area (monitoring goods, detecting illegal parking, etc.).
Used in mid-range and premium outdoor and indoor cameras; performs excellently when shooting both daytime and night-time video.
The IMX323 is a budget sensor from the Japanese company Sony Semiconductor. In picture quality it is slightly inferior to its predecessor, the IMX322 (already a classic), but it still outperforms most Chinese sensors.
The manufacturer states that the module supports two-way audio, an alarm input, and an expansion board with a MicroSD card and WiFi module.
